*Back To School Fundraiser For Needy
1st Annual Fundraiser
Snickers & Lisa stood outside Wal-mart & Kroger the first two weekends of August to collect school supplies for needy children. All supplies were donated to the Jet Program of Shiawassee County to help needy families. Thank you again for your continued support in helping us educate, bring safety, and hope to these needy children and families! We're still accepting donations of money for our program as well as new or gently used school supplies.
*Easter Baskets Fundraiser For Needy Children

Snickers, dressed as the Easter Beagle, helped Lisa give away 85 Easter Baskets this year to needy children & families. Last year they gave 81. And they hope to do even more in 2009!
*Run For Your Life To Stop Abuse, Bullying & Violence
For
just a $5.00 donation, Lisa will donate one of her award-winning books
to a troubled teen/woman in a runaway shelter, battered woman's shelter,
jail, or prison.
Lisa wrote Run For Your Life about her life as a teen runaway and victim of dating violence to help troubled teens learn to make better choices. This action-packed thriller of Lisa's life on the road is sure to get teens running in the right direction. And your donations will help make that possible!
These books can also be donated in honor/memory of someone.
*Picture Books Series To Stop Abuse, Bullying & Violence
Lisa has passion for children and stopping
abuse before it starts!
She has written 3
educational picture books
that will not only teach kids safety methods, but also teach them how to
prevent abuse and bullying.
So far, she has written three books in this captivating series, but intends to create several more books building on the misfit characters (animals with disabilities). She's using her Mascot, Snickers, as the main character in these fun-filled educational books.
Total Cost for Project is $15,000.00 (includes editing, publishing, illustrating & printing of 500 copies of each book). We're trying to raise the money through grants, donations, and fundraisers. The money we generate from the 1,500 books will go to further the publishing of more books and to continue the series.
*Short Film & Documentary--Let's get REEL & Stop Abuse
Lisa's Goal is To Show Teens Through This Documentary That Abuse Bites & How They Can Stay Safe
The film will focus on peer pressure, bullying, running away, physical abuse, self-abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, dating abuse, etc.
Lisa & her family hope to present this film in the public schools to bring awareness, safety, and abuse prevention. They also want to honor all the teens who have been hurt or lost their lives due to bullying and abuse.
Total Cost for Project is $5,000.00 (includes new video camera, lighting & microphone equipment, filming, editing, & even publishing)
